Wedding Bells: A Love Letter To My Girl Rhae

Sharing is caring!

Rhae, is getting hitched sometime in May and I’m gearing up for her Bridal Shower this Saturday. It’s actually my first time to attend a bridal shower so I’m not sure what to expect. I can’t believe she’s getting married na!

I always had fond memories of Rhae, who was, back in the day, my partner in crime 🙂 I remember the first time we met, I was outside Iwebmasters, settling my jittery nerves (I was about to meet my new teammates) and she happens to be there as well and asked for a light. She’s weirdly friendly, chatting with me happily about random things and I was nodding absentmindedly because I couldn’t focus. As luck would have it, she turned out to be part of the new team I will be in and from there on, we were inseparable.

That was a period in my life when I felt truly, completely fulfilled professionally and personally and I know she was a great part of that. During the years that I’ve known her, I learned that she was so great of a friend, she’s not afraid to call me out on my bullshit when other people just kept quite. But she does so with so much kindness. I know that even if things looked bad, she’d always give people the benefit of the doubt and will do what she can to patch things up regardless of whose fault it was, even at the cost of losing her pride. That’s the kind of person she is and I can say with absolute certainty that she’s a better friend than I could ever dream to be.

And despite certain things changing, beyond the conflicts and losing touch for quite a while, I always knew she’s one of those people who will always, always have my back.

My only regret was getting too caught up with things that aren’t really worth anyone’s time and ended up up causing friction between people that I should hold more value in my life. I’m happy we got to reconnect just in time to see her walk down the aisle to her long-time love!

Congrats to the happy couple 🙂 And to my girl, Rhae, you’re an awesome friend and I’m glad you chose me as to be a part of your big day! You’re a beautiful girl inside and out and you deserve all the happiness in the world!
