It’s that time of the year when I round up all the wonderful, wonderful events of the year past and cram ‘em into a single post.
This year was infinitely better than 2011. I would say 2012 has been very kind to me both personally and professionally. First, there was my birthday, which was celebrated with the boyfriend at Astoria Hotel. It was memorable because it was my first birthday celebrated with my beau and second, he surprised me with his cooking! It was a great weekend 🙂
My sister also came home this year which meant I was busy most of the time. Hey, going to the mall every other day is tough on my schedule and my budget too, you know. Hahahahaha! Things were smooth on the homefront but not as great when it comes to work but so far, things are working out great.
In terms of my persona life, things are great as well. Well, it’s not perfect but things are just peachy. I’m hoping things will be better next year. I’m trying to establish a better outlook, in terms of my health and weight and this is something I want to put into practice for a long time. Though I know it’s been causing friction with people around me, I’m determined to make this work or else.
2012 was full of conflicts for me as well but nothing major. I think most of these conflicts were a result of my own stubbornness but I still maintain a relatively positive attitude towards the coming year. Last year, I think I made a shitload of purchases and totally ignored my own NY resolutions. This year won’t be any different, I think. But this year, I’m totally committed on minimizing my purchases. Okay so maybe I didn’t, I bought two Coach bags and will be buying an iPad mini sometime this week but after that, I’ll totally stop overspending. Hahahahah, we’ll see.
2012 was a year full of adventures too. From gaining a real “couple friends” for the first time, Jon and Karen to reconnecting to old ones and meeting loads of other people in between. This year was like a giant get together thing with people I mostly don’t know hehehehe. This made me appreciate the lifestyle I lead. I love the quiet, hanging around the house, seeing people I like and then going out to the mall whenever I feel like it, it’s awesome! Let’s hope nothing will change that this year 🙂
So overall, this year was full of highs and the lows were very far and wide in between. The highest being the return of my sister and the low was bidding goodbye to old employers.
2012 was a fantastic year and I can only hope things go as smoothly come 2013. It’s less than an hour before I welcome the new year here at my aunt’s place. I wish everyone lots of surprises and adventures ahead. Cheers to the new year!
